NECR-PW Ethanol Extra 1-23-16

On October 23, NECR received a loaded ethanol train from VTR in Bellows Falls, VT. P&W sent up P&W 4302 and GMTX 9059 to use on the train along NECR's 2674 and CSOR's 3771. The train reached NECR's Palmer Yard around 6:30 pm. The train continued non-stop to Willimantic CT, where the train was handed off to a Providence & Worcester crew for the rest of the trip to Worcester, MA, and later Motiva in Providence, RI. It was a great chase from Belchertown, MA to Willimantic, CT. Enjoy!

NECR 610x 12-26-15

The day after Christmas, NECR ran an extra from Willimantic to New London, then back up to Palmer, the typical 610. NECR hardly ever operates weekends, but did Saturday because they did not operate Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I was able to bike out to catch them in Franklin and Yantic southbound and northbound. Enjoy!

610 runs light engines south to fetch a car from UBS Lumber in New London, CT.

Return Trip with lone boxcar from UBS Lumber.

Now coupled back up to their train that was dropped on the Yantic Runaround in Franklin, 610 works the KofKoff grain mill in Franklin, CT.

Willimantic 12-6-15

On Saturday, I knew that there have been Blue & Gold GP38's running on the south end of the Palmer Sub. lately, so I knew there was a chance that there was one as 610's power laying over in Willimantic for Monday's train, since the train sits for the weekend in Willimantic. So, around 11:00 P.M., I decided I would head down to see if there was a Blue & Gold on the head end. As I was driving down the road... Perfect! It was solid Blue & Gold power. So, heres the shots I got Saturday Night.

Thanks for stopping by! Jaiden Jadczak
